In the event that your phone is lost, suddenly dies or gets stolen, there will only be one way to recover your passwords.

To recover them, you’ll need to have access to the same phone number you were using on your phone, as well as a backup file that you previously created through your extension.

Assuming you have both, all you’ll need to do is install Myki on a new phone, register using the same number you previously had, then pair to the Myki browser extension to restore using your backup file. Here’s a guide on how to restore using your backup file. You’ll then have access to your passwords again.

If you aren’t able to get access to your phone number, you won’t be able to recover any of your passwords, even if you have a backup file.

*Note: Always ensure you have a paired browser extension and/or regularly create a backup file to restore when needed.
